Itinerary 3

7 days in the steps of french history, and around the most famous castles of the Loire.
Chambord, Beauregard, Cheverny, Blois, Chenonceau, Amboise... These wonderfull renaissance's castles bring us into the heart of French History.
With itinerary 3 we start to ride in the favorite hunting forests of the renaissance french kings, then along the wonderfull banks of river Cher and finish with the Chesnut trees of Amboise forest.

Pace : moderate - 4 riding days from 3 to 4h per day in the saddle. For riders who want to marry horseriding with most famous chateaux of the Loire visits.

Day 1:


Arrival B&B in château near Chambord for 3 nights.
Dinner and briefing.


Day 2: Chateau de Beauregard - Chateau de Cheverny


AM - about 2 hours on horseback
Begining of the ride to chateau de Beauregard by the Russy forest.
We have the privilege to enter by the front path of the chateau: an unforgetable experience!
Guided visit of chateau de Beauregard.
Picnic with foie gras in chateau de Beauregard.
PM - 2 hours on horseback
We leave to Château of Cheverny on horseback by the countryside and Cheverny vinyards.
Visit of Château de Cheverny.
Gourmet dinner and night at B&B in château.


Day 3: Chateau de Chambord


AM - about 3 hours on horseback
Beginning of the ride to Chambord by the countryside and the Boulogne forest.
Arriving to Château de Chambord on horseback : Royal!
Lunch in Chambord.
PM
Horse show and Visit of Chateau de Chambord.
Dinner in a gourmet restaurant, night show in château de Blois.

Day 4:


Breakfast at B&B in château.
Free day and transfer to B&B in château near Chenonceaux.
Briefing, dinner and night at B&B in château.


Day 5: Chateau de Chenonceau - Chateau de Nitray


AM (about 1 hour on horseback)
B&B au château - Chenonceau on horseback.
Visit of the château and gardens of Chenonceau.
Lunch in château of Chenonceau.
PM (about 3 hours on horseback)
Chenonceau - château de Nitray on horseback.
Guided visit of the caves, cellar and wine museum - wine testing.
Dinner and accomodation in B&B castle.


Day 6: Pagode de Chanteloup - Chateau d'Amboise


AM (about 2 hours on horseback)
B&B au château - Pagode de Chanteloup on horseback.
Visit of the Pagode de Chanteloup and old fashioned outdoorgames.
Picnic with foie gras in the gardens of the Pagode.
PM (about 1 hour on horseback)
Pagode de Chanteloup - château d'Amboise on horseback.
Guided visit of the Château d'Amboise.
Accomodation in B&B castle.
Dinner at Amboise and nights illuminations at Chateau de Chenonceau.
